Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday
Barça revealed they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga 30 months after they moved out to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside based on approved permits. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized an open training session inside the stadium on 7 November. The club said approval is being pursued by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side on 9 December at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
