British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Fatal Car Crash
Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on December 29th, a devastating event that resulted in the deaths of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
Joshua had remained in the hospital while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.
“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being made ready for the journey back,” Omotosho said.
Remembering the Victims
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the passing of his two close friends.”
