Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane ferrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unplanned landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the jet's front window, as stated by an official statement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane touched down in accordance with established safety measures and everyone onboard, among them Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer said in a online announcement.
The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to Brussels during the flight.
This occurrence isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft carrying a top government figure has experienced equipment failures.
Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to Washington DC after suffering a technical issue.
